Barcelona are hoping to generate some revenue in the final days of the winter transfer window so that they can rope in Marcus Rashford from Manchester United.
With Ansu Fati not wanting to leave and the departures of Eric Garcia and Andreas Christensen ruled out as well, the Blaugrana are looking at alternative avenues to raise money.
One of the options that the Catalans are keeping a close watch on is the potential sale of former players for whom they have sell-on clauses.
Mika Faye, one such player currently at Rennes, is attracting interest from Fenerbahce in Turkey, while Mika Marmol could also help Barcelona in that regard.
As reported earlier, Marmol, currently at Las Palmas, is attracting interest from AS Roma, with Barcelona retaining 50% rights of the former La Masia talent.
Now, Canal Sur Radio (h/t Mundo Deportivo) reports that La Liga club Sevilla are also interested in signing Marmol, with Barcelona keeping a close watch on the situation.

With Tanguy Nianzou recently undergoing surgery and Marcao potentially leaving, the Andalusian outfit are exploring the possibility of adding a central defender, with Marmol being one of their targets, although the deal is proving difficult.
Sevilla boss Garcia Pimienta is familiar with the centre-back, having worked with him previously at Las Palmas and at Barça before that.
The issue, however, is that Las Palmas are not keen on selling and insist on suitors paying the Spaniard’s full €10 million release clause.
Of that amount, €5 million would land in Barcelona’s coffers, given that they hold a 50% stake in the player’s economic rights.
Sevilla, though, have already made it clear that they are not willing to make a major financial outlay for the player. So, it remains to be seen whether Marmol ends up securing a move away or not.
