Previously, despite his consistency, the Brazilian forward did not seem like a player that the club desperately needed in the team. That has all changed this season, with big game performances and a new sense of leadership, Raphinha has established himself as one of the world’s finest players.

While the club may have had doubts before about whether to offer the player a renewal or to listen to incoming offers for him, they are now clear about which path to take. After Barcelona manages to resolve the pending contracts of Ronald Araujo, Pedri, Gavi, and Lamine Yamal, they will handle Raphinha’s renewal as well.

Even previously, the Brazilian forward rejected advances from Al-Hilal. Despite the fact that such an offer would have been much more lucrative for him, he chose to stay at Barcelona and continue proving himself at the club despite his issues in the first two seasons.

Now, he is simply indispensable for the club both on and off the pitch. A captain and star player for Barcelona, his performances have enabled the team to take on all sorts of challenges this season and the team has no plans of stopping just yet.
