Barcelona star refuses to celebrate after scoring vs Real Betis | OneFootball

A leading member of the midfield ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona opted against celebrating his latest goal for the club on Saturday.

The player in question? Gavi.

Barcelona are of course currently locked in action, in a league meeting with Real Betis in Catalunya’s capital.

Youngster Gavi, for his part, was restored to the Blaugrana’s starting XI for the fixture, after frequently being forced to watch on from the bench of late.

And, as alluded to above, it did not take the 20-year-old at all long to make his mark.

Slipped in behind Real Betis’ backline courtesy of a fine pass on the part of Ferran Torres, Gavi made no mistake with a drilled finish into the far corner.

As his teammates mobbed the Spanish international in celebration, however, Gavi opted against joining in.

This comes with Real Betis representing the midfielder’s boyhood club, a bond which Gavi evidently holds close to his heart to this day.
