Barcelona star rejected an €8 million January exit | OneFootball

A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona was the subject of a January proposal on the part of Italian outfit Como.

That’s according to Marca, who point towards Héctor Fort as the player in question.

Defender Fort has of course played something of a bit-part role for Barcelona across the season to date.

Sitting behind the first-choice pairing of Jules Koundé and Alejandro Balde in the full-back pecking order in Hansi Flick’s squad, the 18-year-old has been afforded 13 appearances across all competitions.

And keen to take advantage of this situation by offering up a more prominent role to Fort during the winter transfer window were the aforementioned Como.

As per a report from Marca:

‘There were talks between the two clubs and the Italians said they were willing to pay 8 million euros for the transfer.’

Upon the player himself being consulted on the potential move, however, negotiations were stopped in their tracks.

This came after Fort made clear that he has absolutely no intention of departing Barcelona any time soon.
