A member of the goalkeeper ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has seen his future with the club thrown firmly up in the air.
That’s according to transfer insider Matteo Moretto of Relevo, who points towards Iñaki Peña as the player in question.
Peña, for his part, is of course in the midst of what has proven an altogether challenging recent stretch in Catalunya’s capital.
Afforded the starting gloves between the posts by Barcelona boss Hansi Flick following the long-term injury suffered by Marc-André ter Stegen, the Spaniard has since found himself usurped by Wojciech Szczęsny.
As much has given rise to frustration on Peña’s part, culminating in speculation that the shot-stopper could look for a way out in the summer.
And, should this prove to be the case, Peña will not be short on suitors.
As confirmed by the aforementioned Matteo Moretto, Turkish heavyweights Galatasaray, as well as clubs in England and Spain, are expressing a keen interest in the 26-year-old’s signature:
‘Iñaki Peña’s future is up in the air. The goalkeeper has a contract until 2026 but negotiations for a possible renewal are at a standstill.’
