Barcelona’s interest in Luis Diaz is intensifying, but according to a recent update from SPORT, the Colombian winger’s future at Liverpool could be directly linked to Mohamed Salah’s exit.
At present, reports from Colombia indicate that Arne Slot, Liverpool’s manager, has already given the green light for Diaz to be placed on the market, with the club aiming to secure a substantial transfer fee to reinvest in their squad.
Now, it is no secret that Barcelona have been monitoring Diaz closely, but the primary concern remains the financial aspect of the deal.
While it now appears certain that Liverpool will sell the winger, the price tag could be a major stumbling block.
Given the Premier League club’s valuation, securing the 28-year-old will not come cheap, making it a challenging operation for the financially constrained Blaugrana.

However, Diaz’s potential departure is also dependent on Salah’s future, as the Egyptian winger is also set to leave Anfield as a free agent at the end of the season.
Ironically, Barcelona have also been linked with Salah, meaning that his potential arrival could close the door on Diaz’s signing.
Despite financial hurdles, Barça remain keen on reinforcing their attacking options under Hansi Flick.
While Diaz’s pace, dribbling ability, and versatility would make him a valuable addition, securing him will require overcoming not only Liverpool’s asking price but also potential competition from other European giants.
As the summer transfer window approaches, Barcelona’s focus will be on resolving their financial situation before making a serious push for any major signings.
Whether that leads them to Diaz, Salah, or another attacker remains to be seen, but the coming months will be crucial in determining the club’s attacking reinforcements.
