Serhou Guirassy was the star of the night for Borussia Dortmund as they secured a 3-1 victory over Barcelona in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals.
Although Dortmund’s win was not enough to get them over the line, Guirassy left a serious impression on Barcelona, as he notably scored a hat-trick.
Guirassy’s three goals against Barcelona extended his Champions League goalscoring tally to 13 goals in just 14 matches, making him the highest scorer in the competition so far.
Now, a report from Fichajes suggests Guirassy’s performances in the Champions League have impressed Barcelona, who are considering a move for the Dortmund striker.
Barça see Guirassy as an ideal player to complement the forward line without destroying the balance of the team.
Barcelona are indeed not thinking about signing any direct replacement for star player Robert Lewandowski until 2026.

But the club believe Guirassy can be a smart acquisition as the forward has shown the ability to perform in demanding matches. Moreover, he is physically and technically astute, making him an ideal alternative to Lewandowski.
The report adds that the forward’s agent is already seeing signs of a potential move away from Dortmund this summer.
However, any deal would likely involve a tough negotiation phase with Borussia Dortmund, who won’t be too keen on parting ways with the former Koln striker as they only signed him last summer.
After quite a while, Dortmund appear to have found an ideal replacement for Erling Haaland.
Therefore, the club will not consider any sale unless they receive a substantial offer for Guirassy, who, for his part, has admitted that he closely watches Barcelona matches, with Lewandowski being one of his idols.
