Borussia Dortmund will be without Nico Schlotterbeck, Emre Can and Marcel Sabitzer for their UEFA Champions League game against Barcelona on Tuesday night as they look to overturn a four-goal deficit.
Can completed the full 90 minutes in Saturday’s 2-2 draw against Bayern Munich but trained individually on Monday morning due to an adductor problem. Niklas Süle started at the weekend and will retain his place against Barcelona alongside Waldemar Anton and Ramy Bensebaini. Julian Ryerson and Daniel Svensson will provide defensive cover on their side with Carney Chukwuemeka replacing Julian Brandt, and Pascal Groß returning after missing last weekend’s 4-0 defeat against Barcelona due to suspension.
In attack, Niko Kovac is expected to name Maximilian Beier and Serhou Guirassy as the two-up-top, just as he did against Bayern, with Karim Adeyemi and Jamie Gittens options from the bench.
Gregor Kobel – Waldemar Anton, Niklas Süle, Ramy Bensebaini – Julian Ryerson, Felix Nmecha, Daniel Svensson – Carney Chukwuemeka, Pascal Groß – Maximilian Beier, Serhou Guirassy (Kicker)
