Tosin Adarabioyo is a born leader from what we can see. He’s always talking on the pitch, doesn’t shirk from challenges and is very vocal in training too. Captain material, you’d think.
He has one problem – he doesn’t get into the first team. Apart from that, he’s got it all.
So the second string is becoming his place to shine, and today was no exception. He opened the scoring with a nice run and an angled header, celebrated like a Main Character, and didn’t miss out on the chance to speak to the TNT Sports cameras at full time either when asked.
Hilariously, he complained that his team hadn’t managed to get TEN goals, which the fans had been shouting for as the numbers ticked up. As he said though, for a defence that’s struggled a little for clean sheets this season, getting one tonight probably mattered more than a 9th and 10th goal.

Tosin’s arrival was supposed to be a no-brainer given he came on a free transfer. And of course in games like this, he’s hardly going to be tested.
But when called upon in the bigger games he’s struggled a little, and when the inevitable injury comes around to take out one of the first choice pair of Wesley Fofana and Levi Colwill, it’s very questionable whether Tosin is the man who gets called on, or whether his B team buddy Benoit Badiashile has jumped him in the queue.
Either way, we’re delighted for Tosin tonight. He had all his friends and family in town for it, and he made them proud.
