Chelsea are looking to make it three wins on the bounce in all competitions when they host struggling Leicester City in the Premier League this Sunday.

The Blues have endured a difficult start to the new year but are still in the hunt for Champions League qualification and Conference League glory. Victory this weekend would boost their top-four bid ahead of the second leg of their last 16 fixture in Europe against Copenhagen on Thursday.

Chelsea had lost three games on the spin before battering bottom of the table Southampton in their most recent Premier League outing, following that up with a 2-1 victory in their Conference League clash with Copenhagen. Former Foxes manager Enzo Maresca will want his side to build some momentum before three huge London derbies with Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Brentford in the league.

They can certainly add to their winning streak against Leicester given the dismal form of Ruud van Nistelrooy's side. The Dutchman's days look increasingly numbered after six defeats from the last seven league matches, with the Foxes' return to the top flight likely to be brief as they are cut further adrift of safety.

Here is 90min's guide to an all-blue battle at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea welcomed Benoit Badiashile back into the equation midweek and have more positive news in the centre-back department. Wesley Fofana, who has been missing since December, could return to the lineup against his former employers having been among the substitutes against Southampton.

Malo Gusto suffered a worrying injury against Copenhagen on Thursday but the Frenchman should be available to face Leicester, according to Maresca. The Italian also admitted to viewing orthodox right-back Reece James as a midfielder after using the England international in the double pivot in Denmark.

Romeo Lavia is back in training but Maresca has confirmed he remains some way off full fitness. He's been out of action since mid-January.

Nicolas Jackson, Marc Guiu and Noni Madueke all remain sidelined in the forward line, while Mykahilo Mudryk is still suspended for failing a drugs test.

Chelsea predicted lineup vs Leicester (4-2-3-1): Jorgensen; Gusto, Fofana, Colwill, Cucurella; Caicedo, Fernandez; Sancho, Palmer, Nkunku; Neto.

Leicester will welcome full-backs Ricardo Pereira and Woyo Coulibaly back into the mix, with both having recovered from their respective injuries. Caution will be taken with the former, however, given his fitness record and the fact he's been absent since early November.

Elsewhere, Abdul Fatawu is missing for the rest of the campaign with an ACL tear and Odsonne Edouard remains on the periphery after Leicester deemed it too costly to terminate his dismal loan in the winter window.

Chelsea vs Leicester score prediction

Chelsea's patchy form will offer Leicester some encouragement heading to the capital but it's a trip that appears unlikely to yield a positive outcome. The attacking might of the hosts should tear through a porous rearguard, who have conceded 61 times in 27 matches in the league.

Leicester have lost their last five matches in all competitions and have failed to score in any of their previous four league games, but Chelsea are capable of giving up goals. Perhaps the Foxes will manage a consolation at Stamford Bridge, but the points looks off the table.
