Samuel Chukwueze spoke to the media ahead of AC Milan’s clash against Fiorentina, admitting that he would have liked to play from start as was initially expected.

Yesterday and earlier today, the Italian newspapers suggested that Chukwueze would get the chance from start against La Viola tonight, having done well off the bench lately. However, as Sergio Conceicao announced the XI, the winger’s name wasn’t present.

Speaking to DAZN ahead of the game, as transcribed by MilanNews, the Nigerian admitted that he would have liked to play from start. However, he made it clear that the team is the priority, especially given the importance of the game.
