Como sporting director rules out summer move for Milan-linked Fabregas | OneFootball

Como’s sporting director has poured cold water on the rumours linking Cesc Fabregas with the AC Milan job, stating that he will definitely stay.

The current head coach Sergio Conceicao is trying his best to rally the squad for a strong finish to the season, with a European spot and the Coppa Italia remaining as objectives after what has been a difficult campaign.

Yet, there is a lot of external noise about future of the club which is not making things easy. Firstly, a new sporting director will be appointed to guide decisions on the playing side, and then it is expected that Conceicao will be replaced when the season ends.

One of the names linked has been Fabregas, with the Spaniard earning praise for what he has done with Como, a side that are seven points above the relegation zone and therefore heading for quite comfortable safety.

Speaking to DAZN, Como’s sporting director Carlalberto Ludi was asked about the rumours concerning the former Barcelona midfielder potentially leaving when the season is over.

“Will Fabregas be with us next year too? Yes, certainly,” he said (via MilanPress). The Rossoneri, therefore, will have to look elsewhere if his words are to be believed.
