Cristante prior to Roma-Athletic Bilbao: “We know what to expect” | OneFootball

Ahead of Roma’s Europa League Round of 16 clash against Athletic Club, midfielder Bryan Cristante was asked about his team’s mindset coming into the first leg showdown against the Spaniards.

Appearing on Sky Sport, the veteran discussed the team’s experience in high-stakes European matches and their approach to facing the La Liga side.

“It’s true several of my teammates and I are used to games like this, we definitely know what to expect,” explained Cristante.

“But these one-off European matches are always difficult. Let’s just say our experience can be an asset. Though, Athletic play a bit differently from the traditional Spanish style.”

Adding, “We’ve studied them, and already faced them in the group stage. We’re ready, and we know exactly what we need to do.”
