David Alaba sends message to Real Madrid fans after injury setback | OneFootball

Real Madrid star David Alaba has taken to social media on Tuesday evening, to send a message of encouragement to the club’s supporters.

The name of defender Alaba has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines in Spain’s capital across the day to date.

Unfortunately for the Austrian, however, as much comes for altogether less than positive reasons.

In the thick of ramping up his game-time following a long-term spell on the sidelines with an ACL injury, Alaba was dealt a fresh setback.

As per a statement on the part of Real Madrid on Tuesday morning:

‘Following tests carried out on our player David Alaba by Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with an adductor injury in his left leg. His progress is being monitored.’

News of Alaba’s fresh blow marks a heavy blow for a Blancos outfit already alarmingly short on options at the back.

The player himself has, in turn, this evening moved to send a message of encouragement to the club’s fanbase.

Taking to his official Instagram account, Alaba unveiled a photo of himself, accompanied by the caption:

‘Minor setback. See you very soon Madridistas!’
