Davies and Palhinha out, Ito may be back for Bayern's trip to Glasgow | OneFootball

Reliable Twitter/X page Bayern & Germany, also known as @iMiaSanMia, has been following the BILD cameras closely. The German tabloid’s images depict the Bayern team going through their paces in training ahead of their UEFA Champions League play-off clash with Celtic.

There appears to be a mixed bag of player health to report on with perhaps the biggest news being the ruling out of full-back Alphonso Davies and midfielder Joao Palhinha before the Bavarian’s fly to Glasgow at 5.00pm (CET) tomorrow afternoon.

Canadian speedster Davies has been partaking in individual training but will not be fit for Wednesday night, while Portuguese midfield combatant Palhinha continues to suffer from the illness which ruled him out of Bayern’s 3-0 win over Bremen last Friday.

Hiroki Ito, who arrived for an estimated €30million from VfB Stuttgart last summer, continues to work his way back from a nasty metatarsal fracture. The 25-year-old trained with the squad and is nearing a return, but it remains to be seen if he will be on the plane to Glasgow.

On a slightly more positive note, veteran goalkeeper Manuel Neuer and centre-half Kim Min-Jae, both of whom were given rests after the Bremen win, were back in full team training and are expected to start against the reigning Scottish champions.
