Joaquin Correa could start for Inter Milan in tomorrow evening’s Serie A clash against Genoa.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews. They report that the Argentine has been tested out in training, with Marcus Thuram to miss tomorrow’s match.

The Nerazzurri will feel that the match is a virtual must-win. They have dropped points against all of AC Milan, Fiorentina, and Juventus this month already. And next weekend is the top-of-the-table clash with Napoli.

Genoa will not make it easy, however. They have already managed a draw with Inter this season, 2-2 at the Marassi on opening day.

By far the biggest team news for Inter will come in goal. Yann Sommer is set to miss a few weeks with injury, so Josep Martinez will make his first start in Serie A for Inter against his old side Genoa.

But Martinez will not be the only notable name on the teamsheet for the Nerazzurri.

Another player set to miss tomorrow’s match is striker Marcus Thuram.

The Frenchman is still shaking off the ankle problem that he suffered against Fiorentina earlier this month.

Therefore, it will be someone other than Thuram partnering Lautaro Martinez in attack for Inter.

And according to Tuttosport, Joaquin Correa is a real candidate.

The Argentine has made one start in Serie A this season. That was in a 5-0 win over Hellas Verona in November.

And according to Tuttosport, Correa could make another start tomorrow.
