Jayden Meghoma discusses his development under Thomas Frank, England youth international career and the pathway to first-team football at Brentford in The Long Read, which features in the matchday programme for Saturday's FA Cup tie against Plymouth Argyle, available in and around Gtech Community Stadium and online now.

In the extended interview, the young left-back also talks about his time at former clubs Tottenham and Southampton, explains why he made the move from the latter to the Bees in August, and more.

Discussing Frank's influence in his decision to swap the south coast for west London, Meghoma said: “Thomas was the main factor, he just sold it to me.

"The support he gives to all the players is really, really good. What he said to me convinced me and he’s been fantastic.

"I think it was his plan for me and how he tailored it individually to me in terms of what he could help me with and what he thinks I’m excellent at.

“It was also about what he thinks I could get better at, now and in the future. The way he had that individual care for a player, it’s something I’d not seen before.”

This issue is available to buy around the ground before the Plymouth game on Saturday, or online at shop.brentfordfc.com.
