Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique recently ruled out Randal Kolo Muani as a fit for his plans, paving the way for the striker’s move to Juventus. As a result, PSG could be in the market for a new No. 9 and have been linked with several options.

One of those targets, according to Fichajes, is Alexander Isak of Newcastle United. The Swedish striker has impressed Enrique with his speed, technical skills, and clinical finishing, qualities that align with the attacking style the manager is looking to implement at PSG.

Meanwhile, FootballTransfers reports that while Arsenal are interested in Isak, Liverpool are seen as the frontrunners and are currently the most determined to secure a deal.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Arsenal are still very interested in Isak and would love to bring him to the club in the near future. However, completing a deal in January won’t be straightforward.

“I’m sure that, in private, they (Arsenal) are working hard, we’ll try to find out who they want to bring in,” Romano told Give Me Sport. “Obviously, the dream target remains Alexander Isak at Newcastle, but this is not a player who will be leaving in January.”

Meanwhile, The Telegraph reports that Newcastle are keen to keep Isak at St James’ Park beyond the summer. The club reportedly plans to offer the Swedish striker a new contract as a reward for his impressive form and to secure his future.

Former Newcastle star Alan Shearer believes Isak’s value could exceed £150 million thanks to his outstanding form. Shearer believes Chelsea might have an edge over Arsenal in the race to sign him but warns the Blues to tread carefully, as his price could keep climbing.
