Mark Flekken is Brentford's Aosom Player of the Month for February.

The goalkeeper played in three of the Bees' four Premier League fixtures across the month and conceded just one goal.

Flekken missed the 2-0 home defeat to Tottenham Hotspur through injury, with Hákon Valdimarsson deputising in his absence.

He marked his return with a clean sheet in a 1-0 victory at West Ham United, with Kevin Schade scoring the only goal of the game early on at London Stadium.

Flekken and the Bees then made it back-to-back clean sheets, as well as four Premier League away wins in a row for the first time in the club's history, with a 4-0 success against Leicester City.

The Dutch stopper made a strong save to prevent Jamie Vardy from opening the scoring before first-half goals from Yoane Wissa, Bryan Mbeumo and Christian Nørgaard put Thomas Frank's side in control.

Fábio Carvalho added the west Londoners' fourth in the dying moments at King Power Stadium.

Ironically, though, Flekken's most eye-catching performance of the month came in the one game he conceded, a 1-1 draw against Everton at Gtech Community Stadium.

He denied in-form Toffees forward Beto from one-on-one situations on three separate occasions, with Wissa's first-half header being cancelled out by Jake O'Brien as the points were shared.

Reflecting on that battle, Flekken said: "You have to stay calm, stay patient, and to not offer him a space to go for. React on his action. It all sounds a bit easy, but the patience is the hard part.”

Mikkel Damsgaard, who finished as runner-up in the vote, had won the previous four Aosom Player of the Month awards.
