According to TBR Football, Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Antonin Kinsky from Slavia Prague for £12.5 million.

The 21-year-old goalkeeper’s arrival addresses a pressing need in Ange Postecoglou’s squad, with injuries exposing vulnerabilities in the goalkeeping department.

The move wasn’t straightforward, as Kinsky was reportedly on the radar of several top-tier clubs, including Newcastle United, Brighton, Brentford, and Celtic.

However, Tottenham’s sporting director Johan Lange played a pivotal role in outmanoeuvring the competition.

Ultimately, it was a conversation with Postecoglou that convinced Kinsky to choose North London over other suitors.

Kinsky’s abilities have been highly praised. Speaking exclusively to Spurs Web, renowned Czech football analyst Jiri Josek lauded the goalkeeper for his technical skill and confidence, stating:

"He is remarkably good with his feet, he upgraded Slavia’s playing from the back to another dimension. At the same time, he is more than a decent shot-stopper.

“One or two mistakes in between, but he makes good decisions and always stays committed.”

With such endorsements, it’s easy to see why Tottenham were determined to bring Kinsky into their fold.

A key addition to Tottenham’s roster

The young goalkeeper’s journey to Tottenham marks a significant step forward in his career.

Kinsky’s performances for Slavia Prague highlighted his potential as a modern, ball-playing goalkeeper, a key attribute for Postecoglou’s tactical setup.

Beyond his immediate impact, this signing signals Tottenham’s long-term planning. Analysts already regard Kinsky as a generational talent, and his £12.5 million price tag could prove a bargain if he realises his full potential.
