A former Manchester United goalkeeper has recommended a new stopper to Chelsea to go for in the summer transfer window.

The news comes off the back of Chelsea getting an essential three points on Saturday afternoon by beating Everton 1-0 at home after a fantastic first half goal from striker Nicolas Jackson ending his 2025 goal draught.

EXCLUSIVE! Three Chelsea players who are not enjoying the football under Enzo Maresca!

It was far from an easy game for Chelsea though, and goalkeeper Robert Sanchez became the unlikely hero and was actually the reason that they could see the win out and collect all three points, making some big second half saves to deny certain goals.

Another one of Chelsea’s best players on the pitch was defender Trevoh Chalobah and really, he was a strong candidate for man of the match too. Enzo Maresca defended Chelsea’s decision to let him go on loan in the summer after then recalling him in the winter.

Sanchez may have been the hero in this game, but he has been awful in a Chelsea shirt on the whole and the club need to sign a new goalkeeper in my opinion if they really want to elevate themselves going forward.

Chelsea should for for Ramsdale

Former Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster believes Chelsea should go for former Arsenal stopper Aaron Ramsdale this summer, who has just been relegated with Southampton.

During a conversation on his YouTube channel, Foster suggested that Ramsdale would be a decent signing for Chelsea.

When asked if he would take Ramsdale if he were Chelsea, Foster said: “Yes, I would. He would be an upgrade… Rambo needs to find a team that are going to be a solid, settled Premier League team, and you’ll get another 10 years out of Aaron Ramsdale at the top level.”
