Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has on Sunday moved to lavish praise on a leading member of his attacking ranks.

As much comes fresh off Barcelona making it a perfect six wins from six to open the La Liga campaign.

After being condemned to a disappointing defeat at the hands of AS Monaco in the Champions League in midweek, the Blaugrana this evening made the trip to El Madrigal, for a meeting with Villarreal.

And, when all was said and done, Flick’s troops ran riot, to the tune of a 5-1 triumph.

On target over the course of the 90 minutes were Robert Lewandowski (2), Raphinha (2), and Pablo Torre.

And, post-match, Hansi Flick was eager to single the 2nd out for special praise.

Wide-man Raphinha is for his part in the midst of nothing short of a scintillating opening to the campaign, culminating in seven direct goal contributions across six league appearances.

Even more impressive, though, has been the attitude displayed by the Brazilian, who has taken on the new role of leader on the pitch and in the dressing room alike.

And it was precisely as much which boss Flick was keen to highlight late on Sunday:

“From the first day I saw Raphinha, I saw a player that gives everything for the club,” the German explained.
