Man Utd Performance Branded ‘Disgrace’ as Goldbridge Reacts

Another Dismal Display Leaves Old Trafford Frustrated

Manchester United suffered yet another bruising defeat at Old Trafford, this time falling 2-0 to a struggling West Ham side, prompting outspoken fan voice Mark Goldbridge to deliver one of his most scathing assessments yet.

The loss, which comes just days after a Europa League semi-final triumph, exposes once again the frailties in both the squad and the club’s long-term structure. Speaking live on The United Stand, Goldbridge tore into the team’s approach, desire and overall performance, branding it an “absolutely disgraceful performance”.

“We are where we deserve to be,” he declared, pinpointing deep-rooted issues within the club hierarchy. “You can sack Ruben Amorim, bring another guy in, and then you’ll be sacking him again… The whole team ain’t good enough. The squad ain’t good enough.”

Fans Turn Up, Players Switch Off

Despite 75,000 supporters filling the stands in what should have been a sun-soaked celebration of football, the United players offered very little. Many viewed this match as an opportunity for fringe players to stake their claim for a starting spot in the upcoming final, but according to Goldbridge, very few took it seriously.

“I saw players going through the motions,” he vented. “If that was your audition [for the final], I wouldn’t let you on bloody Britain’s Got Talent.”

Goldbridge continued, “You should be busting a gut to start that game for Manchester United,” underscoring the urgency the players failed to exhibit.

Squad Depth Exposed as Injuries Mount

Further adding to the frustration was the growing injury list. Goldbridge was especially critical of the handling of player fitness.

“Mazraoui was in the red zone and you played him for 90 minutes,” he said. “How can you stand there and go ‘I can’t believe Yoro’s injured’ but then you’re playing Mazraoui for 90 minutes?”

With questions surrounding the availability of key defenders such as Yoro and Shaw ahead of the final, the decision-making around player welfare became another focal point of criticism.

Structural Failings and Manager Backing

Though Goldbridge raised valid concerns over Amorim’s game management, he ultimately defended the Portuguese coach.

“The manager is not getting the sack. The manager will be given the summer, preseason and hopefully funds.”

He went on to highlight the cyclical nature of managerial turnover at United, urging supporters to understand that the issues go far beyond the dugout.

“It can’t be the manager. Every manager goes down the same path at Manchester United. It’s 100% the way that the club is run.”

Final Warning Ahead of Europa League Clash

The performance not only leaves fans deflated but also casts a shadow over preparations for the Europa League final. For Goldbridge, Sunday’s defeat was emblematic of a wider crisis at the club.

“All you’ve done is make your fans concerned… We should be turning up in a game like that buzzing, optimistic, excited.”

He concluded with a chilling assessment: “It was terrifying. It was really, really bad and there is no excuse for it. Absolutely none.”
