However, a recent report from Mundo Deportivo has revealed that the ones most affected by the demise of Minarro was Hansi Flick.

Who were most affected by Minarro’s demise?

Hansi Flick, who was managing the team during their training camp when the tragic news broke, bore the heavy responsibility of handling the situation.

Staying at the hotel with the squad, Flick made the tough call to prioritize notifying Minarro’s family before informing the club hierarchy, ensuring privacy in those initial, delicate moments.

His close bond with Minarro, built on trust and mutual respect, left him visibly shaken. The emotional toll was compounded by the pressure of shielding the players, who traveled to Montjuic stadium unaware of the loss.

Among the players, Dani Olmo was hit particularly hard. Having known Minarro for years through his father—a former coach who worked with the doctor—Olmo also relied on him as a family physician.
