Liverpool somehow managed to take the first leg away by 1-0 against PSG in the Champions League round of 16. They will now return to the Premier League to lock horns with Southampton in the Premier League this weekend.
The Reds are leading the domestic points table and will not want to settle down for anything less than a win. Three points will solidify their position for the league title and will also give them confidence ahead of the second leg against the French outfit next week.
Defence
Alisson Becker was a sensation against PSG and made exceptional saves to keep a clean sheet. He will be seen in action once again. No change at the right-back spot as Trent Alexander-Arnold continues to play there.
While Virgil van Dijk is likely to be retained at the heart of the defence, Ibrahima Konate could be sacrificed to make way for Jarell Quansah. Konstantinos Tsimikas should also come in as the left-back at the cost of Andy Robertson.

Midfield
Arne Slot might prefer retaining Ryan Gravenberch in the midfield unit but bring Curtis Jones into the XI. It will leave Alexis Mac Allister with no place in the starting lineup.
Mohamed Salah couldn’t make an impact against PSG and will be desperate to do well this time. He will see Luis Diaz operating on the opposite flank.
The super-sub and the sole scorer, Harvey Elliott could be rewarded with a start this weekend. He will replace Dominik Szoboszlai in the lineup. Interestingly, Darwin Nunez is the number nine for this fixture ahead of Diogo Jota.
Tyler Morton (shoulder), Joe Gomez (hamstring) and Conor Bradley (hamstring) are all unavailable for selection for the Reds.
