Newcastle 3 Aston Villa 0 – Saturday 26 December 3pm
The photo that Newcastle United fans had all really really wanted to see today.
United dominating and blowing away Aston Villa, who didn’t ever look like recovering from going behind inside 90 seconds.
Anthony Gordon with a stunning strike.
What a brilliant team performance.
Villa very lucky to lose by only three.
Another winning snapshot post-match.
Another photo = The eleventh of this season.
The Newcastle United Head Coach introduced this tradition of a post-match everybody included photo following each victory, as he felt it had worked as a bonding exercise when he was at Bournemouth.
(It is actually the twelfth victory of the season for United but for whatever reasons, no winning photo after the win over AFC Wimbledon. Can only guess winning 1-0 at home to League Two opposition might have looked a ‘little’ lame.)
Four photos (victories!) in a row.
Great to see.
It is also a massive bonus just how much it winds up fans of certain other clubs and journalists.
‘Look at them, think they have won the Premier League / Champions League… etc etc’
I absolutely love it.
Twenty more Premier League games to go, as well as fingers crossed plenty more cup matches, so hopefully many more of these photos to come.
