The Whites' CEO is set to move to the Toffees in the summer as The Freidkin Group continues the reshuffle at the top of the club.

Leeds United's 49ers owners have been excellent for the club, and after the team missed out on promotion to the Premier League last season, they look set to make their return to the top flight for the 2025/26 campaign.

There is a great desire to maintain the positive momentum that the Whites have going into the final weeks and months of the season, but off the field, unwanted disruption has occurred with Everton set to announce Angus Kinnear is set to join as the new CEO, according to The Daily Mail.

The 47-year-old has been the Chief Executive at Elland Road since 2017, coming in after Andrea Radrizzani completed his takeover. He helped oversee the club's rise back to the Premier League in 2020 following more play-off heartbreak the year prior, before their eventual relegation back to the second tier in 2023.

Football League World has taken a look at how much Kinnear is reported to be earning at Leeds, as the Toffees close in on a deal to bring him in.

Kinnear is reported to be earning an incredibly high six-figure wage

The Whites know that anything other than promotion would be a failure this season, and therefore they have required maximum effort from every single person at the club.

On the pitch, Daniel Farke and his team have been excellent and they stand a superb chance of not only finishing in the top two, but in fact winning the Championship league title for the second time in five years.

It is this efficiency at the very top that Everton's new owners, The Freidkin Group (TFG), are targeting as the Premier League side are currently operating without a permanent CEO following Denise Barrett-Baxendale's resignation in the summer of 2023.

Colin Chong has been in an interim role at the Toffees since, but Kinnear is set to take over in the summer as the Merseyside outfit make the switch from Goodison Park to the new Bramley-Moore Stadium.

Leeds' Chief Executive is currently on an open-ended contract in LS11 with Football Insider reporting in 2023 that he is earning £569,000-a-year. However, this may have changed slightly due to the club's relegation from the Premier League.

Everton are entering a crucial time in their history

The last decade has been a roller coaster for Everton and supporters will be hoping that the calm that David Moyes has instilled on the pitch continues into the new season with their top flight status looking all but secured.

Moving to the new, 55,000-capacity stadium also brings the club a new level of prestige with the Toffees moderinsing with the belief that they can return to their former glories, or at least to the top half of the table for now.

Kinnear has helped Leeds hugely in their transition from the previous ownership to the current one and the West Yorkshire side are in an extremely secure position right now as they look to return to the Premier League.

Nevertheless, his departure will be a huge loss for the Whites and a massive gain for Everton, with it looking likely that the two teams will meet at least twice next season.
