‘I’m not Kylian Mbappé’ – Désiré Doué dismisses comparisons with Real Madrid forward | OneFootball

In an interview with Téléfoot, Paris Saint-Germain attacker Désiré Doué (19) was asked how he felt about comparisons with Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé (25).

Comparisons have emerged between the two players in the media because of the impact that they had in their first seasons with PSG and the circumstances in which they made their transfers to the French capital. Both Doué and Mbappé joined Les Parisiens when they were 18. The France captain perhaps made a bigger impression when he moved to the Ligue 1 champions, but the former Rennes attacker has impressed largely under Luis Enrique this term.

Whilst not starting every game for PSG this season, the 19-year-old has still impressed in the opportunities that have been afforded to him. The attacking midfielder has scored 8 goals and registered 8 assists in 37 appearances. When asked about being compared with the former PSG forward, Doué said, “I’ve been told about the comparisons, but I’m Désiré Doué, Kylian is Kylian. He’s a sensational player and has already done a lot in football. I’m trying to create my own path.”
