Chelsea have plenty of exciting young talent and Romeo Lavia has named three players supporters should be excited about.

The Blues have assembled an exciting you squad under the Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital ownership, even though things have been tough since the takeover in 2022.

As well as signing lots of young talent, Chelsea also have a number of top talents coming through their famed Cobham academy.

Lavia names three players fans should be excited about

Lavia is part of a new wave of talent at Stamford Bridge along with the likes of Cole Palmer, Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez.

The midfielder has been plagued by injury issues following his arrival from Southampton in a deal worth £58m in the summer of 2023.

Lavia missed virtually the entire of last season, and despite playing more this season, where he’s displayed his immense talent, he’s once again been hampered by injuries, with Maresca hoping he can return for the final ten games of the season.

The Belgian has now named three players supporters should look out for in the future when discussing the club’s young talent.

“I think Tyrique George, I see Josh Acheampong and one player you guys might know Shim (Mheuka), good striker,” he told the Rising Ballers YouTube channel.

“I would say these three I’m really confident in their abilities.”

Chelsea fans will be aware of George and Acheampong with the duo having appeared for the first team on occasions this season, and they are both now full members of the first team squad.

Mheuka is highly regarded in the academy and made his first team debut against Astana in the Conference League, with Achemapong also naming the striker as one to watch.

Whilst the focus is on improving the team now and getting results, with Chelsea desperately trying to qualify for the Champions League, it’s good to see there’s still plenty of top talent coming through.
