Piotr Zielinski will be out of action for at least a month for Inter Milan after suffering a strain to his calf.

Inter Milan confirm that the Polish international underwent medical tests today. These showed a strain in the medial gastrocnemius muscle in his right leg. Sky Sport Italia report he’ll be on the sidelines for around 45 days.

Inter Milan midfielder Piotr Zielinski suffered an injury during Saturday’s Serie A match against Monza.

The 30-year-old former Napoli midfielder came off the bench in the second half.

However, Zielinski was only able to play for a couple minutes. He went down with a calf problem that forced him to be substituted straight back off.

Piotr Zielinski To Miss Around 45 Days For Inter Milan With Calf Strain

Today, Zielinski underwent tests with the Inter Milan medical staff.

These tests confirmed that the 30-year-old has suffered a strain to the medial gastrocnemius muscle in his right calf.

Therefore, Piotr Zielinski will have to spend an extended period recovering from this injury.

The Pole will certainly be out for Inter’s next two matches before the international break. They take on Feyenoord tomorrow, and then Atalanta next weekend.

Moreover, Zielinski will also miss matches after the break.

Sky report that the prognosis for the Polish international is a period of around 45 days out.
