Inter Milan have begun preparations for Sunday’s Serie A match against Udinese without Mehdi Taremi and Kristjan Asllani.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport via FCInterNews, both players should return to base tomorrow.

Mehdi Taremi was an unused substitute in Iran’s 2-0 win against the United Arab Emirates last week due to injury.

Despite hopes he could be in the starting XI against Uzbekistan, the 32-year-old will likely start on the bench again.

Therefore, he may not be fully fit for next weekend’s clash against the Friulians.

Unlike Taremi, Asllani played an influential role in Albania’s first two 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Indeed, he was in the starting line-up against England last Thursday as Albania lost 2-0 at Wembley Stadium.

However, the skilled midfielder helped his country bounce back with a dominant 3-0 win against Andorra yesterday.
