Inter quoted Barcelona‘s biggest rivals, Real Madrid, after an epic win against the Catalans: ‘120 minutes at the San Siro is a long time.’

The Serie A giants were the first team to qualify for the 2024-25 Champions League Final after an epic 4-3 win over Barcelona on Tuesday.

The first leg was already not short of entertainment as it had ended in a 3-3 draw in Spain last week.

Inter needed extra time to beat Barcelona last night, with the winning goal scored by Italy international Davide Frattesi.

The Nerazzurri erupted in joy after the final whistle, both on and off the pitch, and the club’s social media admin posted a wild message quoting Barcelona’s arch-rivals Real Madrid.

“120 minutes at the San Siro is a long time,” the Nerazzurri said on X, formerly Twitter, while players were still celebrating on the pitch.

The original quote from Real Madrid is “90 minutes at the Bernabeu is a long time.”

The Nerazzurri will meet Arsenal or PSG in the Champions League Final in Munich on May 31.

Simone Inzaghi’s men already beat the Gunners in the league phase at San Siro this past November.
