Inter’s Lautaro Martinez is fit again and could haunt Barcelona | OneFootball

Lautaro Martinez has seemingly recovered in superhuman fashion ahead of Inter’s Champions League semifinals 2nd leg match against Barcelona at home. The Inter captain had injured his thigh in the first leg and was expected to miss this game but has somehow recovered on time. For Inter, this is fantastic news. Martinez is not only their best forward but is more akin to a talisman. In the Champions League this season, he has netted 8 times, including important goals in both legs of the quarterfinal against Bayern Munich and a hattrick earlier in the competition against Monaco. In all competitions, he has 23 goal contribution for the Nerrazzuri. Interestingly 12 of his goal contributions have come in home games, meaning he is a force to be reckoned with at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza. While he is in the squad, it still remains to be seen if Simone Inzaghi actually starts him in this game.
