Inzaghi: ‘Conte organisation at Napoli, need the best Inter’ | OneFootball

Simone Inzaghi believes Antonio Conte has brought ‘organisation’ to Napoli, so Inter will require ‘one of the best performances’ to break them down in the Scudetto clash.

It kicks off at San Siro on Sunday at 19.45 GMT and there is just one point separating the teams at the top of the table now.

With this in mind, the coach rested some of his top men for the midweek Champions League clash with Arsenal, but still came away with a 1-0 victory.

“Tomorrow will be a wonderful game against the Serie A leaders,” Inzaghi told Inter TV in place of holding a press conference.

“Conte has given a great sense of organisation to a team that has a lot of quality. We will need one of the best Inter performances to get the maximum result in front of our fans.”

Napoli had been on a remarkable run of victories with one draw away to Juventus, but that was interrupted by a 3-0 home defeat to Atalanta.

They’ve had all week to prepare for this Scudetto battle, having the advantage of not playing in the Champions League.

“We are trying to recover from Wednesday, both mentally and physically, now there is the final push against Napoli before the break for international duty,” continued Inzaghi.

“We had a few problems with squad rotation because of injuries, but there is still a great deal of confidence in the squad. Details make the difference at this level, we need to be very organised and focused to ensure that nothing slips through.”

A victory over Napoli would make title holders Inter the new Serie A leaders, but is it too early to consider that a boost in the Scudetto race?

“It’s not the time to talk about the table, there are many games still to be played, but we know that it is an important match for our journey. It is also the last one before the break, so we want to end this run of games on a high.

“I am very glad to have such a solid group at my disposal, as the lads always train with a smile and that is a great sign for me. I am fortunate to have many leaders in the squad who every day help me and the staff,” concluded Inzaghi.
