Simone Inzaghi is expecting a “tricky” Champions League quarterfinal tie for Inter Milan against Bayern Munich.

The Nerazzurri spoke to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews. after today’s round of sixteen second leg win against Feyenoord. He noted that he’s already faced Bayern with Lazio.

Inter Milan already know who they’ll be facing in the quarterfinals of the Champions League.

The Nerazzurri will face Bayern Munich in the next round of the competition.

Inter won both legs of their round of sixteen tie against Feyenoord. And Bayern did the same in their own two-legged knock tie against domestic rivals Bayer Leverkusen.

That sets up a meeting between two of Europe’s most decorated clubs in the last eight of the continent’s biggest club competition.

Inzaghi Expecting “Tricky” Champions League Tie For Inter Vs Bayern: “Already Faced Them With Lazio”

Inter Milan coach Simone Inzaghi gave his thoughts on what his team will be facing against Bayern in the quarterfinals.

“It will be tricky,” said the coach. “I’ve faced them with Inter and already with Lazio,” he continued.

“And they’re solid.”

“We’ll play the way we’ve already done so far, putting everything we have into it,” Inzaghi went on.

“We hope that we can have everyone available.”

“I’m sorry to see Asllani’s yellow,” Inzaghi went on. The Albanian picked up a booking, meaning that he’ll be suspended for the first leg of the Bayern tie.

“Because at the moment we don’t even have Zielinski available, and we’ll have a series of matches that will be difficult.”

“Tonight, we had two young players from the Primavera who also came on,” said the Inter coach. “They know that they’ll have to give us a hand, because at the moment we’re shorthanded.”

Meanwhile, Inzaghi gave his thoughts on his own growth as Inter Milan coach. “Every day you learn more and more,” said the 48-year-old.

“But it’s not the first year here. Because in the first season I was here we played for the Scudetto until the final day, and we won the Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa Italiana.”

“And then in the Champions League we reached the round of sixteen,” he noted. “We faced Liverpool and Real Madrid, who both ended up in the final.”

Simone Inzaghi declared that “This team has it in its DNA to fight in all competitions.”

“But we know they’re having to expend a huge amount of energy. And it’s for that reason that I’ve said that these guys really deserve the support.”

“I do it when I can. And the fans do as well.”

Inzgahi noted how the Inter fans ” are right behind us in all these tiring matches, which end like this and give us all so much joy.”
