James rescues point for León in top-two clash with América | OneFootball

It was honors even in a top-two clash in Liga MX Wednesday evening as León drew with Club América.

Scorers: Zendejas 11 ; James 33'

It was a much-anticipated clash at the top of the Liga MX table, and it certainly delivered in the opening 45 minutes.

After in-form American Alejandro Zendejas opened the scoring for chasers América, León pulled one back past the 30-minute mark through Colombian legend James Rodríguez.

After the break the threat of goals waned, as did the pace of the game. The shared points sees León keep ahold of their three-point lead at the top of the Clausura table.
