Juventus Reportedly Keener than Milan on De Zerbi

Roberto De Zerbi has found his footing at Olympique Marseille too after his solid campaign at Brighton and is trying to lead the club back to the Champions League. They are second in Ligue 1 despite three recent losses.
According to Calciomercato, the top Italian sides, especially Juventus and Milan, have never ceased keeping an eye on him. Neither has moved concretely to lure him for next season, though.
Olympique Marseille paid a €6M release clause to pry De Zerbi away from Brighton last summer even though he had already stepped down. He has signed a three-year contract and earns €6M gross annually. They have significantly bolstered the squad since appointing him, bringing for instance Adrien Rabiot, Mason Greenwood, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Ismael Bennacer, Amine Gouiri, and Amar Dedic.
The ex-Sassuolo gaffer is fully invested in the project and is working in unison with director Mehdi Benatia. He doesn’t feel the urge to leave and head back to Italy, although he doesn’t like some of the Ligue 1 dynamics. He wouldn’t dismiss Juventus and Milan’s courtships. The Bianconeri would be the most likely landing spot if he left.
It’s rare for Serie A teams to pay a fee for a coach, but he was a missed opportunity for the Rossoneri. He’s more likely than not to stay where he is for a couple of years. For the Old Lady, he’d be a nice compromise between what they wished to accomplish with Thiago Motta, opening a cycle with a coach who could mold and groom a young squad with his playing style, and instead going with a retread slightly more appealing than Massimiliano Allegri like Stefano Pioli or Roberto Mancini.
