Juventus want to close deal for Barcelona star ‘before next week’ | OneFootball

The brass at Serie A heavyweights Juventus are ready to push their pursuit of Barcelona star Ronald Araújo into overdrive over the days ahead.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, citing Italian sources, who have on Wednesday provided a fresh insight into the situation.

The name of Uruguayan international Araújo has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines in Catalunya’s capital across the week to date.

This comes after word stemming from Italy pointed towards the 25-year-old as having given the green light to a move to the aforementioned Juventus.

Specifically, La Gazzetta dello Sport claimed that Araújo was ready to make the move to Turin on loan, as part of a deal featuring an obligation to buy in the summer.

And, buoyed by as much, the Bianconeri are now ready to put the finishing touches on the transfer.

As per MD:

‘Juve now want to move forward in negotiations with the Blaugrana club, since Cristiano Giuntoli, sporting director of the Turin team, hopes that the operation will be done as quickly as possible, even before next week.’
