West Ham are bracing themselves for a bid from Everton for Tomas Soucek, its been reported by ExWHUEmployee.

The West Ham insider, who was reporting on The West Ham Way website, has provided an update on the current state of play, as the club weigh up existing player contracts ahead of another busy summer in east London.

“We understand that David Moyes is keen to reunite with Tomas Soucek, with Everton weighing up a move,” stated Ex. “It’s an interesting one though as Soucek has performed well for Potter and is clearly still an important member of the squad.

“I don’t believe there is much appetite for the club to sell Soucek, so if Everton are serious, then a big offer will be needed for West Ham to even consider this.

“Vladimir Coufal however is a different situation, with Everton and also Fulham said to be eyeing a move for him this summer.

“Coufal is on a lower wage at the club and has been keen to geta  better package in place. However, the fact he’s now 32 years of age means the club are unlikely to offer a significant pay increase.

“Therefore it could be that other clubs could offer Coufal a better package which he could be tempted to take, especially at Everton where he could work under Moyes again.”

The club are also weighing up whether to offer Aaron Cresswell, Lucasz Fabianski and Michail Antonio new deals – as their current agreements end this summer.

“Cresswell has proven to be a player that can still offer a lot despite his age, so it may be a sensible move to retain him for another season, especially as Ollie Scarles continues his development under his wing.

“Fabianski too has played a big part this season, however the club may look to shake up the goalkeeper situation this summer. A lot depends of course on the budget and other priority areas.

“Antonio is recovering well from his accident and could feature again this season, however he will need to prove his fitness ahead of the club making a decision on whether he is worth keeping around longer.”
