Lamine Yamal to be handed new Barcelona jersey number next season | OneFootball

Barcelona sensation Lamine Yamal is set to be rewarded for his ongoing excellence with a new jersey number for the 2025/26 campaign.

That’s according to Jota Jordi of El Chiringuito TV, who has confirmed that Lamine is primed to take the no.10 shirt.

Barcelona’s 10 is currently held by Ansu Fati, who took back over ownership of the iconic number upon his return from loan over the summer.

The 22-year-old’s struggles across the season to date, however, are expected to culminate in a fresh departure upon the term’s close.

And, upon as much being confirmed, it is Lamine who has been chosen to replace his teammate as the Blaugrana’s new no.10.

As per a report from the aforementioned Jota Jordi, in the midst of a spectacular individual campaign to date, the 17-year-old has been chosen to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Diego Maradona and Lionel Messi at the Camp Nou.

‘Lamine will wear Barca’s 10 next year,’ it is assured.
