After registering a win, a loss and a draw in their first three league outings, Lazio resume their Serie A campaign with an intriguing contest against Hellas Verona.
The encounter takes place at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome. It kicks off on Monday, 20:45 local time.
Marco Baroni confirmed Ivan Provedel remains his ultimate first choice in goal. The Lazio coach will also rely on Nuno Tavares following his brilliant debut against Milan, while Luca Pellegrini remains unavailable. Manuel Lazzari is the favorite to start at right-back at Adam Marusic’s expense, while Mario Gila could make his first appearance of the season alongside Alessio Romagnoli.
Matteo Guendouzi and Nicolo Rovella should form the double pivot, while Gustav Isaksen gets the nod ahead of Loum Tchaouna and Tijjani Noslin on the right wing. Club captain Mattia Zaccagni will certainly start on the opposite flank, and Boulaye Dia will once again support Taty Castellanos in attack.
Lazio (4-2-3-1): Provedel; Lazzari, Gila, Romagnoli, Tavares; Guendouzi, Rovella; Isaksen, Dia, Zaccagni; Castellanos.
Paolo Zanetti is having to deal with a mini-injury crisis already, especially in midfield, as Ondrej Duda and Tomas Suslov and Suat Serdar are all unavailable. He will thus have to resort to the likes of Dani Silva, Grigoris Kastanos and Reda Belahyane.
Verona’s starting lineup should also include some interesting profiles, including Jackson Tchatchoua, an emerging right-back currently linked with Inter, Juventus and Napoli. 24-year-old Danish striker Casper Tengstedt will be leading the line for the visitors.
Verona (4-2-3-1): Montipò; Tchatchoua, Dawidowicz, Coppola, Okou; Belahyane, Dani Silva; Kastanos, Harroui, Lazovic; Tengstedt.
