Leeds, Burnley, West Ham and Fulham are all keen on Union Berlin full-back Josip Juranovic.
Leeds United and Burnley are both interested in Union Berlin right-back Josip Juranovic on their return to the Premier League.
The two clubs enjoyed a remarkable season in the Championship, as they both collected 100 points, with the Whites claiming the title thanks to their superior goal difference.
Now, attention has turned to the Premier League, with Leeds and Burnley expected to be very active in the market as they look to add quality ahead of the new season in August.
That’s after TBR Football revealed that the two newly-promoted sides are tracking Juranovic, along with West Ham United and Fulham.
The update claims the Croatian, who has won 39 caps for his country, is appealing to English clubs due to his experience, and the fact that he can play down the left flank as well.
They also state that Juranovic would be open to testing himself in England, so he would be open to a move if a deal can be agreed by clubs.
Juranovic may not have played in the Premier League, but he does know British football, as he enjoyed a successful period with Celtic.
In his 18 months at Parkhead, he starred as Ange Postecoglou’s side won a title and a League Cup, and he left halfway through a campaign that brought a treble.
During his time with Celtic, Juranovic was a classy footballer, and he would bring quality on the ball to whichever side he joins, whilst he is solid defensively.
It’s worth noting that Juranovic has played in the Champions League, and in the World Cup for his country, so he is someone who knows what’s required at the highest level of the game. That should ensure he would be able to adapt to life in the Premier League if a move materialised.
From Leeds’ perspective, they need competition at full-back, as there’s a lack of depth behind Jayden Bogle at right-back, and there are doubts about Junior Firpo’s future on the opposite flank.
Meanwhile, Connor Roberts was excellent for Burnley in their promotion push, although they may feel it’s an area they can upgrade in the top-flight.
