Lens look to tie Neil El-Aynaoui to new deal | OneFootball

RC Lens have become a selling club of late. The sale of Elye Wahi, most notably, in the summer, was followed by the big-name sales of Kevin Danso, Abdukodir Khusanov, David Pereira Da Costa and Przemyslaw Frankowski during the winter window.

Further sales are expected in the summer. As per Mohamed Toubache-Ter, Facundo Medina is a player that has been made available for sale. The Argentine has excelled since joining the club, becoming an Argentina international and being one the foundations of the side that secured UEFA Champions League qualification two seasons ago.

However, one player that Lens are keen on retaining is Neil El-Aynaoui, according to Toubache-Ter. The Moroccan, signed for a nominal fee from AS Nancy back in 2023 was the source of intense interest from AS Monaco back in the summer. Ultimately, El-Aynaoui failed his medical. The issue detected has now been resolved and the midfielder is once again an important component of this Lens side. Signing him to a new deal has now become a priority for Les Sang et Or’s hierarchy.
