Anfield braces itself for what promises to be a defining afternoon. Liverpool need only avoid defeat against Tottenham Hotspur to secure a record-equalling 20th top-flight title and once again stamp their authority on the Premier League.

Arne Slot’s side have surged towards the summit, a 0-1 victory over Leicester City combined with Arsenal’s midweek stalemate at Crystal Palace effectively sealing their supremacy. Thanks to a superior goal difference and a game in hand over the Gunners, Liverpool’s coronation appears a formality. Nevertheless, a solitary point against Spurs would remove any lingering doubt.

Spurs, meanwhile, arrive at Anfield burdened by contrasting fortunes. Consecutive Premier League defeats to Wolves and Nottingham Forest have plunged Ange Postecoglou’s side into the uncomfortable prospect of a 17th-place finish. With their focus increasingly shifting towards a looming Europa League semi-final against Bodø/Glimt, they could offer Liverpool little meaningful resistance.

Liverpool vs Tottenham is scheduled for a 4.30pm BST kick-off on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Anfield.
TV channel: The game will be broadcast live in the UK on Sky Sports.Live stream: Sky Sports subscribers can access the match online via the Sky Go app and website.
Arne Slot has the enviable luxury of nearly a full squad. Joe Gomez remains the only confirmed absentee, and doubts persist over his involvement for the remainder of the campaign. Trent Alexander-Arnold is pushing for a start after an impressive cameo against Leicester, while Andy Robertson could be restored to the left-back role.

For Spurs, Ange Postecoglou’s injury list has slightly eased. Kevin Danso returned to action with a 45-minute display earlier this week. However, Radu Dragusin remains sidelined, and concerns continue over captain Heung-min Son, who has missed the past three matches due to a foot injury.

All signs point towards a jubilant Anfield. Liverpool will be buoyed by an electric atmosphere, while Tottenham may struggle to match intensity given their European distractions. “Expect Tottenham to lose a third straight league game as the Reds are crowned champions of England for a 20th time.”
Prediction: Liverpool 3-1 Spurs
