Paris Saint-Germain could lose one of its prominent young academy players to Manchester City’s ownership group.

Mahamadou Sangare is the current top scorer in the Youth League with 10 goals, including two hat-tricks against Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid—definitely impressive.

In RMC’s Scouting podcast from late March, there was unanimous praise for his talent and efficiency as a No. 9. His strong performances have earned him a spot with France’s U18 team, and his future now looks set to unfold elsewhere in Europe.

RMC Sport reports that PSG are set to lose a great talent. Sangaré, a prolific scorer with the Paris youth teams, will leave Paris at the end of the season.

The 18-year-old striker is nearing the end of his aspiring contract and has several suitors, particularly in Germany.

However, Manchester City are also reportedly considering him: the idea could be to sign him and loan him for a season to Troyes, a club in the Cityzens’ network. For now, nothing has been finalized.

City Group have probably seen the success that fellow Premier League club Chelsea have had putting their young talent at RC Strasbourg and seeing the team fight for a Champions League spot for next season.

As a result, they could be looking to replicate that same recipe with Troyes, who are floundering in Ligue 2 and avoiding dropping to the third division of French football. If City Group want to emulate Chelsea’s success, it will take time.
