Man City have to guard against complacency with Liverpool’s round four conquerors
Manchester City are heavy favourites in this weekend's FA Cup fifth round tie against Plymouth.
Man City returned to winning ways on Wednesday night, following losses to Real Madrid and Liverpool, by beating Tottenham thanks to Erling Haaland's first-half goal.
That result has seen City move back into fourth place in the Premier League table, thus boosting their chances of qualifying for the Champions League.
Facing a relegation-threatened Championship side means Man City will have to guard against complacency when they visit welcome Plymouth to the Etihad Stadium especially as Argyle have already knocked out two Premier League sides.
In fact, Plymouth caused an almighty shock against Liverpool in round four and have nothing to lose when they visit the home of the reigning champions of England.
Man City vs Plymouth is scheduled for a 5.45pm GMT kick-off on Saturday, March 1, 2025.
