Wolverhampton Wanderers locked down Matheus Cunha with a long-term contract extension after he was a hot topic during the winter transfer window. However, speculation about his future hasn’t gone away.
Cunha has become a key figure for Wolves, excelling in various attacking roles. Whether operating as an attacking midfielder, second striker, or center-forward, the Brazilian has adapted effortlessly and made a significant impact.
His performances have caught the attention of top clubs, with Arsenal, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain reportedly interested, according to Fichajes. While Wolves value him highly, reports suggest they could entertain offers over €70 million.
Sky Sports News also reported during the winter window that Nottingham Forest submitted a club-record bid of around £60 million in an attempt to sign the forward from Molineux.

Football Insider reported on Saturday, citing sources, that Wolves could still sell Cunha despite his recent contract extension. Their information reveals the 25-year-old will “definitely be sold” if the club is relegated this season.
The report also claims that there’s “no chance” Cunha will play in the Championship, even though he’s under contract at Molineux until 2029. The Brazilian forward recently signed a four-and-a-half-year deal, but his £62.5 million release clause makes him an appealing target for clubs across Europe.
Recently, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed that Manchester United showed interest in signing Douglas Luiz and Matheus Cunha in December but decided against making a formal approach in January due to the high costs.
