Milan CEO Giorgio Furlani is reportedly meeting with Igli Tare today, the new hot favourite to take over as director of sport after Fabio Paratici talks collapsed.
Multiple sources including Sky Sport Italia and La Gazzetta dello Sport note that the encounter is happening this evening in Rome.
They will go over the specifics of the project as well as the terms of the contract, closing in on a final decision.

Paratici had been on the verge of signing the paperwork when problems arose over the on-going ban for artificially inflating profit margins on transfers while at Juventus.
Although the 30-month ban is coming to a close in July, there is still a legal trial that hasn’t even fully started yet, so there was the very real fear of further punishment damaging his ability to do the job.
Tare is the new favourite, although his only directorial role was at Lazio from 2008 to 2023, straight after retirement as a striker.
Unlike other candidates for Milan, such as Tony D’Amico of Atalanta and Bologna’s Giovanni Sartori, Tare is out of contract and therefore freely available to take over immediately at Milan.
Curiously, Tare had already been linked with the job back in 2019 when called by Paolo Maldini, but Lazio refused to release him.
