Milan Watching Udinese and Verona Stars with a Keen Eye

Milan sent some scouts to the recent game between Udinese and Verona to observe two players in particular: Lorenzo Lucca and Diego Coppola. The defender had the upper hand, as the Scaligeri prevailed one-nil.
According to Nicolò Schira, the Rossoneri will keep tabs on the duo ahead of the next transfer market window. The striker has been linked primarily to Roma and Napoli in recent months. He has reached the double-digit threshold in scoring in the top flight for the first time in his career this year. He added two assists and two more goals in the Coppa Italia.
Milan would face domestic competition for both Lucca and Coppola should they try to sign them. The defender has been strongly attached to Juventus in recent weeks. His valuation is €10M, Tuttomercatoweb informs. He has shown remarkable growth this campaign, the first one in which he has been a full-time starter.
The Rossoneri acquired a new marksman in January, Santiago Gimenez. They’ll most likely need a new deputy since Tammy Abraham could head back to Rome, while Luka Jovic, who has been used very seldomly, will be out of contract.
The former would be a backup for them, as it’s hard to imagine they’ll ever have a go-to scheme with two center-forwards. He might not like that prospect. Whether he’s ready to be the main guy for a top club is a nice debate. He might be a notch below that. The center-back will probably end up being a rotational piece in a bigger side in the summer. He’s been steady and he’s not too expensive.
