Bournemouth full-back Milos Kerkez has revealed his ambition to win trophies at the highest level amid persistent transfer links with Liverpool.

The 21-year-old is enjoying his second season in the Premier League after arriving on the south coast from AZ Alkmaar in 2023 and has caught the attention of the division's elite sides with his athleticism, work rate and attack-minded approach from left-back.

Having managed two goals and five assists this term, Kerkez has been touted with a move to Liverpool that would see him team up with fellow Hungary international Dominik Szoboszlai.

Liverpool boss Arne Slot, who is a former employee of AZ himself, admitted the defender was "having a great season" back in February, which only furthered speculation between Kerkez and the Reds.

The youngster, who could cost less than £40m, has now spoken about his future with the Cherries amid fierce transfer talk, confessing that he dreams of playing at the elite level and winning silverware.

"As a kid, you dream to play at the highest level, win the trophies, be on the best teams," Kerkez told The Athletic. "These are the things that my agent is on. My dad is on. It is not something that they occupy me with because the season is still going, so there’s no point to talk about anything.

"There’s games left, the FA Cup is important for us - these are big things. And then, like I say, when someone comes (in for you) you never know what’s going to happen or where you’re going to end up. In the summer, we will see what happens."

Liverpool are expected to target a new left-back come the end of the season after a noticeable decline in Andy Robertson's performance levels. The 31-year-old's deputy, Kostas Tsimikas, has found it difficult to win favour with Slot as well.

Kerkez appears an ideal replacement given his willingness to charge up and down the flank, as well as his boundless energy in both halves. The Bournemouth man will certainly be intrigued by the prospect of moving to Anfield.

The Reds will need to sign a new right-back this summer, too, with Trent Alexander-Arnold closing in on a move to Real Madrid on a free transfer. Liverpool's recruitment team have plenty of options to consider.
